Career Highlights

-21 years as a recording and performing artist – Performed in Paris, Caen, Cannes, Bordeau, Toulouse, Deauville and La Rochelle in France; London in England and Stuttgart in Germany.  Also performed in St. Lucia, Barbados, Trinidad, Antigua, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Guadeloupe, Martinique , Dominica, Miami and New York.

-Represented Dominica  3 times in the Caribbean Festival of Arts and in several Feminine Music Festivals in the French Caribbean and in France.

-Recorded 14 albums of music, and 1 video-album.

-Owner of recording studio at which young artists have an opportunity to expose their talent and get on-the-spot coaching as well as a feel for what a career in music could entail.

-Facilitator on a regular basis for workshops in singing and stage performance for individuals and groups

-Member of various panels of judges, both local and regional, including for National Song Competitions, Richard Stoute Teen Talent Competitions in Barbados and CBU Song Contest in Trinidad.

-Chief Cultural Officer at Cultural Division- 1988-1989

-3 Time Winner of Dominica Patois Song Contest 1970, 1971, 1975

-1st Artist from a non-French country to receive Maracas d’Or Award

 in Paris, France.

-1st black artist to perform at the Theatre de la Rennaissance in Paris.

-Dubbed “La Grande Dame de la Musique Antillaise”, “Ambassadrice 

 de coeur de la Dominique”, “La Myriam Makeba de la Caraibe” in  . France and the French Caribbean due to impact of her work.

-Nominated for Best Cadence Album-New York-WLIB, 1991 

-Travel Holiday Magazine Certificate of Excellence for The       

 Advancement and Preservation of the Vitality of Caribbean Culture

-Selected for at least 10 magazine covers re her music

-Participated in the 1st and 3rd  and 6th World Creole Music Festival, 1997  1999 and  2002
